Writing Competition: Talking about Social Networking

Introduction:

During the Language class we had the  "Creative Writing Competition" which we were supposed to choose between three options, the option that I chose was:

3 – We should be more concerned about the dangers of social networking.

Here I show you my final draft:

We are all surrounded by social media; we are all part of it. It has become such a huge part of our social lives; we are always communicating and exploring things. However, besides from talking with friends and family who may be on the other side of the world, social networking has its disadvantages.

First of all, not all people are searching for the same. Nowadays, people are kidnapped, even killed, because of social networking. People search each other to do harm, not all the time it is because of a friend. Social networking works like this these days, every year more than fifteen girls get killed. Do you think that’s the use you want society to have with this amazing technological resource ?

On the other hand, some people use social networking for very unthinkable things such as pornography, and other sexual stuff which can expose people in a very horrible and horrendous way.

Social networking is not a toy, we really should be concerned about its danger and try to stop these things from happening.
