The Pacific Ring of Fire Facts

The Pacific Ring of Fire is the name that it was gave to a shaped area in the Pacific Oceanic that it covers from South America and North America to Eastern Asia, Australia and New Zealand. This area of the Pacific Ring of Fire is very famous because of the active volcanoes and because of earthquake ( seismic activity).
In this area you can found a 75% of sleep and active volcanoes.


Volcanoes in The Area

The area of the Pacific Ring has a total of 452 volcanoes. One of the most active volcanoes that are found here is Kilauea Volcano (considered the most active). More volcanoes in the Ring of Fire are: Mt Fuji located in Japan, Mt. Saint Helens and Mt Rainer in the American North West, Krakatoa in Indonesia, Mauna Loa in Hawaii, Galeras in Colombia and Sangay in Ecuador.


Most Dangerous Volcanoes

As a consequence of the activity of volcanoes in the Pacific Ring of Fire there many possibilities that one of the volcanos ( previously mentioned ) could cause a lot of trouble for many people.
The dangers that the Mount Yasur had are true, some of them are:
-Toxic Gases
-Lava Flows


Constant Changes

Nowadays the Pacific Ring is very different than when it was many years ago, this changes that the Pacific Ring have are because of the tectonic plates movements. This tectonic plates are also why many violent earthquakes in this whole area of the Pacific Ring of Fire.


Risks

Cities located in the Pacific Ring already know that are some risks that they have to be prepared for. There is a possibility of volcanic eruptions and that's why is a very dangerous place to live and people have to be very careful if the volcanoes are active or asleep.
